Ducks and swings and flying fox king

Onepoto Domain was a happening place late afternoon on Monday. You haven't heard of it? I hadn't either until the other day when a couple of the coffee group girls talked about the scooter/bike track for little people over there. It's a pretty cool area for kids to hang out.

Firstly there is a pond.

There are ducks on that pond, including little ducklings.

The pond has a quaint little bridge (although a little bumpy riding on and off).

Swings! The boy loves to swing!

At 26 months old my son can now do the flying fox, all by himself!

And he loves it, as evidenced by the expression on his face.

Then we went to the neighbouring street and drove the RC F1 racing car around for a bit.

Kien's been waking a lot overnight, which isn't anything new and we've had to endure this for, well, all his life. It's just that lately it has become too much for me to handle and I've been pretty grumpy as a result of my lack of sleep. Jef has looked after Kien for a couple of nights in a row and I've had some restful sleep so I'm feeling a lot better now. We are trialing Kien on some Bach remedies at the moment since it has done wonders for a work colleague's little girl. Hey, I'll try anything if I can get my son to sleep through the night!

Your flying fox is so nice and low... Ours is scary high, I can't actually watch him doing it. Or reach high enough to catch him.

I hope you find some relief with Kien's sleep. It's a hard thing to deal with and if you're not a CIO type person it's hard to find good advice...

Let me know if the Bach stuff works please. My K was on rescue remedy for a while and it helped :) But eventually they do just sleep through. It took us 2.4 years :)

The flying fox looks too low for my bum:P I took Peter to Mother Well on Mount Eden road for his sleeping. A Magnesium supplement (fibroplex plus) with a bach flower remedy made especially for him sorted out his waking during the night:) I hope the bach remedies work for Kien!

Looks like a really nice park, I don't think we have one around here unfortunatly. Kids love to feed the ducks and I would love to take Josh.
Cute pictures x x

Kien looks so happy and healthy.

Silly question maybe, but is he warm enough at night? I got Thomas a lovely organic cotton sleeping bag online and it really helped. It was only 80-something dollars. I also gave up trying to force him to bed at 7, he goes a bit layer now and sleeps deeper.

Your pictures don't fit on the screen now when I view from my phone, is that just me?

@Michelle MacWhirterI'm pretty sure he is warm enough as the room is an even temperature and he's wearing flannelette PJs, plus he has his duvet which he kicks off constantly. He's too old now to be in his sleeping bag.

Yes I noticed the pics don't fit if you surf on a phone using a browser, but the pics will fit if you are looking at the e-mail. Are you looking at it via a browser? I'll have to look into it some more.
